How to Make Your Articles Come Alive - Literally! #Podcasting

As a marketer you should always be on the lookout for new ways to market your business or products. Article marketing should always be in your Top 3 as writing high-quality articles with a back link to your website, blog or sales page has the potential to bring you an enormous amount of traffic.
Writing articles is an excellent idea, but once the article has been submitted, accepted and published many marketers feel that that's the end of it. This is a mistake many marketers and business owners make and if you're making the same mistake then you may be sacrificing an amount of traffic that could double your present amount. Once you have some articles you should try to exploit them and, as strange as this may sound, squeeze every drop out of them that you can.

There is a way to literally make your articles come alive and leap off the page and here it is: Converting your articles into podcasts! It's very simple but it doesn't occur to many marketers that they can do this and potentially double their traffic.

The hard part is done - you've already written the article. All you need to do now is read it out loud and record it onto your computer. All you need to do this is a USB microphone. A high quality microphone can be bought off eBay for around $50. If, however, you don't feel that you have a good speaking voice, head over to Fiverr.com where you can find someone with a good voice to record it for you for $5.

Once you have all of your articles recorded, you can add some background music in to make for a more pleasurable listening experience. The key here is getting the volume right - you don't want the music to distract the listener from what you're saying!

Royalty-free stock music can be found by doing a quick Google search. Some of it is free and some is extremely cheap, if you have a bit of money in your budget you can spare then feel free to buy a few different pieces of music to add some variety to your podcasts.

Then when you have finished your podcasts, upload them to the podcast directories with the highest traffic. As of November 2013 the Top 5 podcast directories are podcastdirectory.com, podfeed.net, digitalpodcast.com, podnova.com and ipodderx.com (though it should be noted that iPodderX is Mac only software and is not a website where you can sign up and submit podcasts, it is in fact a website where you can download the iPodderX software). Create accounts for all of these sites (minus iPodderX if you have a PC), upload all of your podcasts to each of them, then watch your traffic grow!
